At Last A Card!

I can't remember when I last made a card. I don't seem to have had any inspiration to make them for some reason.
It's my parents Wedding Anniversary tomorrow, so I thought I'd make a card for them. The image is from Graphic 45, and the sentiment stamp is from Cavallini. I wanted to keep it relatively simple, so added cream flower trim and for a dash of colour added some blue pearls.
I'm entering this in the Take a Word Challenge 'Sepia'

Heart Ornament

Having a break from banners! I made this Christmas hanging from scraps I had. The oh so cute image is printed onto fabric and lace and fibres added, I think I'll make more of these, it looks great on my tree, I'm linking this to my MAMA friend Terri's lovely blog for 'Deck the Halls Sunday'

Christmas Banner

Made another banner today, I think I have an obsession with them at the moment! It sets my fireplace off just nicely, and I love aqua and white/cream together. I'm entering this into the Our Creative Corner Challenge ' which has the theme 'Ruffled' http://ourcreativecorner6.blogspot.com/

It also fits in with the challengeover at Papertake Weekly Challenge, for favourite Christmas colours. This year mine is aqua cream and white!

Decorated Candles

Thought I'd try something new today. I've had some candles lurking since last year when I had planned to decorate them. Well, finally did today when I saw the challenge over at Gingersnap Creations was for 'wax'.
The first one was stamped in a light blue on tissue paper, so not easy to see in the photo.
The second is in brown, the stamp is from Crafty Secrets, which I added 'dew drops' to for a little bling

Christmas Banner

I made another Banner for my dining room, which will be aqua and cream for Christmas I've enjoyed making the banners, I want one to put on the fireplace too, hopefully I'll get one made this week!

Tree Ornaments

This is my entry for The Paper Players challenge this week.

Working with the colours Cherry Cobbler, Very Vanilla and Gold. I've been making these tree ornaments to give out rather than cards this year.

I used a victorian image of a girl holding a Christmas tree, and used red and green Flower soft for the foliage, then added some rhinestones for sparkle.

The 'ornaments' across the left side are Paper Artsy stamps on shrink plastic, then strung on red thread. I punched leaves from green paper and added pearls to them.

Then framed the heart with cream and gold trimming, and added a red tassel and red ribbon for hanging

I'm quite pleased how it turned out..maybe another keeper!

Altered Alice: The Mad Hatter with Twinkles

http://alteredalice.blogspot.com/2011/10/chapter-8-celebrating-mad-hatter-with.html

Here's my entry for the challenge over at Altered Alice. The Mad Hatter with Twinkles.

I've only just bought some Alice stamps, don't know why it's taken so long, I've always loved the story, and remember watching it as a child, then with my own children.

My daughter bought a lot of Disney DVD's last Christmas (she's 27!) because she loved watching them with me, and one of them was Alice In Wonderland. So I thought I'd make her some Alice themed note books for Christmas, for her endless list making!

I didn't want the MH to have too much colour so I painted him in sepia tones, then gave him an orange hat, which has orange glitter for his 'twinkles'. I made the flower and butterflies to match the background paper, and added a playing card charm

Tag Tuesday School Related

This is my tag for the challenge on Tag Tuesday. School Related, I must admit I hated school! I've never liked to conform! I have a school related stamp set.......somewhere! Couldn't find it so used some images and sepia toned them for a more vintage look.

I tore the report card in two, which I always wanted to do with mine!

Fashionable Stamping Challenge- Vintage

This is for the challenge on Fashionable Stamping Challenges, Which is ' Vintage'

This is the front of a note book I'm making for my daughter, who LOVES lists!

The paper is Pixie Glen from Prima.

I made the paper rose in browns and blue tones, and inked the edges of the stamped image then tinted the image with blue and brown to give it a vintage look.

The clock stamp is from Kanban, which I glazed with Glossy Accents, and added a little glitter.

I've had this stamp (the girl) for along time, I think it's from Lost Coast Design.

The adage tag is Tim Holtz

GC12 Color Challenge. Turquoise, blue and purple

This is for the challenge on Gingersnap Creations. The stamp is from Crafty Secrets
The challenge is to use turquoise, blue and purple, colours which I don't use a lot of. Though I still had a turquoise flower I'd made for another project!

Bunny

Something different, again. I was asked to make something special for someone to give as a present. I thought this Bunny was perfect, hope she likes it.

Pet Portrait

Well, here he is finished He took quite a while, black dogs usually take longer as it's more difficult to get shading, but I'm pleased with it, more importantly the lady who ordered it is!

Pet Portrait

Well, this is the pet portrait I've just started on. He's a Black Labrador. Black (or white) animals are a bit of a challenge as it's harder to get detail. I'm using a few shades of blue in this too, to get some shading, I'll post when he's finished with the reference photo too
